Overview
Step into the world of Special Effects Makeup with Kryolan and learn how to create realistic cuts, scratches, bruises, wounds and burns using professional SFX products.
Led by Kyara, this hands-on workshop introduces you to the essential techniques behind creating convincing injury effects for photography, film, television, theatre, content creation and creative make-up.
You’ll learn how to prepare the skin, select the right products and tools, build realistic texture and dimension, and use colour and blood placement to bring your SFX looks to life.
From fresh cuts and realistic scratches to bruises, burns and open wounds, this workshop is designed to give you practical techniques that you can continue experimenting with beyond the day.

Workshop Structure
Afternoon Session
14:00 – 14:10 | Welcome & Introduction
Meet your instructor, learn more about Kryolan and get an overview of what you’ll create during the workshop.

14:10 – 15:00 | Live SFX Demonstration
Kiara will demonstrate professional SFX techniques covering:
Skin preparation and hygiene
Product and tool selection
Cuts and scratches
Bruises and colour theory
Burns and wounds
Blood application
Texture and dimension
Realism and photography tips
Questions are encouraged throughout the demonstration.

15:00 – 15:15 | Refreshment Break
Take a short break and enjoy complimentary snacks and refreshments while the practical stations are prepared.

15:15 – 16:00 | Guided Practical Session
Now it’s your turn.
Recreate one or more of the demonstrated SFX looks while Kiara guides you through the process. You’ll have the opportunity to experiment with the products, ask questions and receive individual guidance throughout the session.

16:00 – 16:30 | Exclusive In-Store Shopping Experience
After the workshop, enjoy dedicated shopping time at the Kryolan store.
